Human Rights

Respect for life and remembering victims of violence:

Happening PAMATUJ! REMEMBER!

It commemorates the victims of the largest mass murder in the history of the Czech Republic, which was forgotten during the 40 years of communism in our country. "In 1944, in the gas chambers of the Auschwitz concentration camp - Birkenau in three days (8.3 and 11.7 and 12.7.) more than 10,000 men, women, children and old people were murdedred as guilty of being born as Jews. From the year 2013 in commemoration of this tragedy on the anniversary, March 8, hundreds of singers in the Czech Republic sing three of the songs the prisoners sang when they were taken to the gas chambers: Hatikva (then a folk song, today the Anthem of the State of Israel), Shema Yisrael (the confession of faith) and Kde domov můj (the Czech national anthem).

Videos from happening REMEMBER! at dozens of locations in the Czech Republic since 2013, they are available on the network and can be an inspiration for the content of commemoration meetings for new people.

Peace One Day

There has never been a single day without wars in the history of mankind; The Peace One Day campaign brings together people who want to express their interest in peace in any understandable and acceptable way and helps to create a network of organizations that want to participate in this process. At the initiative of the founder Jeremy Gilley, a British documentary filmmaker, the United Nations unanimously established September 21 as the first day of the global ceasfire and non-violence - the World Peace Day. We would like to inspire the Czech public to participate in this campaign, which can take thousands of different forms (see www.peaceoneday.org). If you have any questions or interest in any of the music or poetic groups mentioned on this site that could contribute to the atmosphere of peace, understanding and sharing on your organized Peace Day, please feel free to contact us for support.
